About

Samara, Russia

All my life I have been interested in the world around me, to a greater extent in human civilization. Accordingly, I received a historical and philosophical education. But at the same time, I always needed to do something with my hands. Thus, interests and needs were formed into a way of understanding human nature through the recreation of cultural objects of different eras and civilizations.
Now my interest is focused on the artistic images, manifested in ethnic and ceremonial masks, as well as helmets. As sculptural forms, as a display of key archetypes: these objects speak of people of past times and disappeared peoples. And we can try on these images.
In my work, I use natural materials, mainly metals and wood, and only work with hand tools.
