One of the most widely used head protectors in Western Europe in the 14th century. Especially in Germany, this type of helmet remained popular even in the first half of the 15th century and eventually influenced the development of later helmets.

Klappvisor – a visor mount on the front of the helmet, common mainly in Germany in the XIVth century.
